DESCRIPTION

The Sakura Tissue-Tek 6400 Coverslipper is a state-of-the-art instrument that automates the coverslipping process for rapid throughput. The menu program guides users swiftly through instrument settings. The exact volume of mounting medium volume is adjustable for all specimen types. Coverglass and slide breakage is held to a minimum. The Sakura Glas 6400 Coverslipper is designed to coverslip biological specimens that are mounted on standard 25 mm wide x 75 mm long (1 x 3 inch) microscope slides with thickness between 0.95 – 1.05 mm. Acceptable sizes for coverslips are 24 x 40 mm, 24 x 50 mm, 24 x 55 mm, and 24 x 60 mm with thickness between 0.13 – 0.17 mm. Coverglass sizes can be changed effortlessly, and the speed of coverslipping can be modified for specimens more difficult to coverslip. Compatible solvents and mounting medium include xylene, D-limonene-based substitutes, and aliphatic-hydrocarbon-based substitutes. This coverslipper can be used with xylene or xylene substitutes, to address the needs and requirements of every lab.
