The Richter Optica MDS2-D is a digital middle school microscope with a 3 meagpixel USB camera and software. This microscope has student-proofed features such as a retractable 40x objective lens.
Objective Lenses: Achromatic, color-coded 4x, 10x, and 40x (retractable) objectives mounted on precision revolving objective turret. 30° inclined head for ease of viewing when seated. Head rotates 360°.
Eyepiece: Widefield 10x eyepiece, FN 18mm with pointer.
Total Magnification: 40x, 100x, 400x.
Specimen Stage: 4.25" x 4.75" stage with tapered edges for comfort. Locked-on, spring-activated stage clips.
Frame: Rugged all metal frame with enamel coating for protection.
Focusing: Coaxial coarse and fine focusing knobs. Rack stop protects objectives and specimen slides.
Light Focusing: 5-Hole disc diaphragm for focusing light.
Illumination: Corded microscope with LED illumination. Power 100~240V, Bulb 3W LED, Fuse 0.5A.
Camera: Eyepiece camera connects to USB port. 3 megapixel camera. Includes software compatible with Windows XP, Vista and above. Ability to view live images on the computer, capture images and save images. Will NOT work with MAC.
Size & Weight: 13.5" high, 5.25" wide, 7.2" deep, 4 lbs.
