The Sentry Longitudinal Energy Dissipater (SLED) is accepted by the FHWA for shielding the blunt end of concrete, steel and water filled barriers. It is also accepted by the FHWA for use in uni-directional and bi-directional applications. The SLED is a cost effective end treatment for concrete, steel and water filled barriers. The system features a stout design that virtually eliminates vaulting. The SLED also features internal steel cables that help to guide a vehicle after an impact, creating a truly “limited gating” system. The SLED is also designed for quick, easy set-up with no foundation anchoring required. The SLED is NCHRP 350 Test Level 1, 2 and 3 Construction Zone approved.
