Horizontal separation centrifuges produce platelet-poor/platelet-free plasma and greatly reduce processing times
Centrifuges are equipped with a 1/2hp brushless DC motor double-encased in a unique stability mount to assure low vibration and quiet operation. Clear lid locks automatically while samples are spinning; centrifuge will not run with lid open. A firm mechanical latch prevents escape of debris in case of breakage or accident. If an imbalance is detected, the rotor will come to a safe, controlled stop. Casing is constructed of welded steel for strength and durability.

The horizontal rotor allows for quick and easy sample loading. A precision variable speed control allows selection of the speed in 50rpm increments from 500rpm and up; speed can also be set in RCF. Runs can be customized from start to finish with variable acceleration and deceleration. The electronic timer can be set from 1 to 99 minutes and has a hold feature. An LED display shows time and speed and an audible indicator sounds when the run has completed. Settings may be saved in 10 memory locations and retrieved via button recall.
