DESCRIPTION

The 210A is ideal for a variety of general purpose and molecular biology separations, including quick spin downs, microfiltration applications and micro-volume biological fluid centrifugation. It may be used in a refrigerated environment and is light enough to be easily moved from cold room to bench and back again. It has an exceptionally small footprint that saves valuable bench space and makes it perfect for crowded lab benches. The 210A is supplied with an autoclavable, 45° angle rotor, that accepts 12 standard 1.5ml to 2.2ml microcentrifuge tubes. It also accepts screw top and self-standing "skirted" tubes. The rotor is supplied with a cover that "snaps" on or off easily. Smaller tubes, such as 0.5ml, 0.65ml, 0.4ml and 0.2ml can be accommodated with optional adapters - sold through manufacturer. An efficient ventilation system keeps all components at, or near, ambient temperature, resulting in a unit that is effectively self-cooling. Even extended or successive runs will not increase sample temperature by more than 7°C. The ventilation pattern has also been engineered to minimize operating noise, resulting in a centrifuge that is exceptionally quiet.
