The chamber is constructed of firebrick of the best quality. It measures 2.5” and it is backed with 1.5” of 1800°F block insulation. The furnace shell is 18 GA. sheet metal. The door opens up away from the user. There is a rope seal on the door that provides a better seal against the furnace. The door mechanism uses two heavy duty springs that keep the door safely closed or open.
