PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Model 800SS Polymer Preparation and Storage System includes one 1600 gallon 316 stainless steel tank with 316 stainless steel support structure. Tank includes 2" crossover valve between the age tank and draw down tank for draining. Two 2" floor drains included. One Ultrasonic level transducer for automatic sequencing and one mini ball float for tank overflow protection. Removable polypropylene tank cover. 5 hp centrifugal booster pump is plumbed to the unit to ensure adequate water pressure for batching. 2" 120V brass electric solenoid valve plumbed to the unit with manual valves to divert water to the wetting funnel and venturis. 2" IFM magnetic dilution water flow meter with low flow alarm. Stainless steel wetting funnel with venturi mixer below the water surface for dry polymer wetting and dispersion. (5) Additional in-tank venturis for hydraulic mixing. Includes three variable frequency drives. The first drive is coupled to a stainless steel volumetric dry polymer feeder, providing 0 to 30 pounds per hour of dry polymer. The second drive powers a 2 hp electric mixer with gear reducer turning one 14" stainless steel hydrofoil via a 1" diameter shaft. The third drive controls a 0 to 25 gallon per minute polymer pump (40 psi max discharge pressure). Fully automatic sequencing, with manual override capability. Operator interface is physical hand/off/auto selector switches on front of panel. High and low voltage controls contained in a NEMA 4 enclosure, all control components are UL approved. Removable fiberglass stairs provide access to feed hopper. Single point electrical hook-up (460V, 3 ph, 20 amps) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Additional Features: 2" wye strainer at inlet. 2" flooded clean dilution water required by customer (30-80 psi, 50-120 gpm). Selector switch allows for remote 4-20mA or local speed pot control for the polymer pump speed reference. Selector switch allows for dry polymer screw feeder to be set manually or to maintain a 0.1% to 0.4% (field adjustable) solution based on dilution water flow rate. Field Requirements: Level surface - Roof or enclosure recommended 20A 480V 3ph 50-120 gpm clean dilution water. Max allowable pressure 80 psi Plumbing to polymer discharge location. 3/4" to 2" pipe size recommended.
