DESCRIPTION

The BD CareFusion Alaris IV Pump Module is employed for the administration of substantial fluid volumes, medications, blood, and blood products through continuous or intermittent delivery, catering to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Infusions can be delivered through clinically approved routes like intravenous, intra-arterial, subcutaneous, epidural, enteral, or fluid space irrigation.
Medical professionals have the flexibility to connect up to four pump modules to a single Point of Care (PCU) Unit, enabling the simultaneous management of four distinct infusions. The Alaris 8100 modules can be conveniently attached to either side of the PC unit to configure the system as needed.
The Alaris 8100 module is equipped with the Guardrails Suite MX software, which acts as a safety measure to minimize the chances of medication errors. It performs a reasonability check before commencing therapy.
