The Beckman Coulter 22R Microfuge is a microprocessor-controlled refrigerated bench top centrifuge with a custom-designed rotor that generates highly precise centrifugal forces required for a wide variety of biological and chemical applications, including careful isolations (such as bacterial products and/or bacteriophage), routine laboratory processes (pelleting, extractions, purifications, etc), protocols for rapid protein and large particle sedimentation as well as sub-cellular organelle preparations. Run settings on this unit are adjusted using an electronic, user-friendly interface for spin duration, chamber temperature and rotor speed (rpm). The rotor chamber is made of stainless steel for easy cleaning and long-term durability, and the instrument lid features an electromechanical-locking mechanism for safe use.
