Wacker Neuson’s new two-cycle, oil-injected BS-2i rammer features a new oil tank that increases the amount of run time up to 100 hours per tank of oil. The "no-mix" system, with an extremely lean fuel-to-oil ratio, and the low-oil-shutdown feature, says the company, mean fewer refills and more uptime. The oil tank has a new design with a lower profile cap that is further protected from damage. Wacker Neuson’s oil-injected series and standard two-cycle models are powered by the company’s own WM 80 engine, specifically designed to withstand rammer applications and to meet current emission regulations. Wacker Neuson also offers four-cycle rammers and diesel rammers.
Additional improvements to all two-cycle and four-cycle rammers include a new air-filter system featuring four-stage filtration that includes a main element with 20 percent more capacity than the previous design and using the rammer’s motion to self-clean, an improved cyclonic pre-filter designed for more efficient dirt removal, and a fourth-stage filter that prevents dust ingestion during filter changes The new rammers also include a longer lifting cable for better access when attaching lifting straps and a new throttle-control designed to enhance ergonomics and durability. Both the fuel valve and ignition switch (made of stainless steel) are integrated in the throttle and feature a lower profile position to limit exposure to damage. |
