Thermo Scientific TSU600A62 -86°C Upright ULT Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer

DESCRIPTION

We've fully tested this upright ULT freezer to ensure it will deliver the best possible performance. Everything checked out; the freezer reaches -86°C and oscillates between about -85°C and -87°C, as designed. The freezer is in excellent condition inside and out, including the door seal. Additionally, it includes 3 shelves and a power cable. This freezer is backed by a 120-day warranty in the slim chance something goes awry.

• Tested to Reach -86°C and Holds Steadily

After inspecting the freezer and performing some preventative maintenance like replacing the battery, air filter, and pipe insulation, we began testing it. We confirmed that it cools to -86°C without issue and steadily oscillates between -87°C and -85°C, as designed. The freezer also passes its own self-test upon startup.

In Excellent Cosmetic Condition

With virtually no signs of usage, this freezer is one of the nicest we've had through our tech shop so far. We recommend reviewing the photos for a deeper understanding of its condition.

Extensive Data Storage and Monitoring

Released after Thermo acquired the Revco brand in 2005, this ULT freezer is one of the newer ones on the used market. Its onboard software and touchscreen make it a breeze to monitor your samples and the overall state of your freezer. In fact, the expansive digital storage can hold up to 15 years worth of logs. While not current-gen, this Thermo TSU freezer could still be a great investment for the lab on a tight budget.
