This patented technology takes the worry out of weighing and provides users with a high level of trust in the results. The SmartGrid™ weighing pan, combined with the inner draft shield, minimizes the effects of air turbulence in the weighing chamber. Spilled samples are caught beneath the pan and do not affect the weighing results. Cross-contamination is reduced to a minimum. The LevelControl feature warns with an acoustic signal if the balance is not properly leveled, and provides corrective action in the display. The MinWeigh door allows dosing directly into the tare container through a small window, without opening the draft shield. To further reduce air turbulence in the weighing chamber, all micro-analytical balance models are equipped with an automatic dual draft shield. Outer doors open horizontally and inner doors open vertically, although both are individually configurable. Models XPE26DR and XPE56DR feature DeltaRange® capabilities, which deliver ten times the readability anywhere within the balance range just by taring.
All balances feature a backlit color graphic display with touch screen operation. SmartSens programmable infrared sensors allow hands-free operation, reducing user error. To ensure the highest data security and full regulatory compliance, the SmartScreen touch screen offers individual profiles and access rights for up to eight users. The proFACT™ feature provides fully automatic time- and/or temperature-controlled internal adjustment and linearization. The operating menu can be viewed in 11 different languages and the operating software can be upgraded via the Internet. All models will display 12 different weighing units and available applications include statistics, formulation, piece counting, percent weighing, and density. Settings can be password protected. The level and the minimum weight per USP can be monitored by the user. A built-in RS-232 interface is standard, as well as a slot for a second interface (seven options available).
These highly efficient models allow for weighing down to one microgram while ensuring strict process tolerances. To ensure comprehensive weighing security, innovative features have been included in each micro-analytical balance model. All models offer quality management features. The innovative StatusLight™ uses color to indicate the status of the balance at a glance. The StaticDetect™ feature warns the user of potential weighing errors caused by static charge.
