According to Enerpac, the company’s new Pow’R-Lock system is the industry’s only self-contained, self-locking, portable lifting system with a rated capacity of 200 tons.
The system, designed to provide automatic load-holding protection through all stages of lifting and lowering, requires no operator intervention to activate its locking feature, which uses a patent-pending control system that maintains the position of a rotating locking collar near the cylinder base. The system provides a mechanical lock regardless of cylinder movement and thus enhances safety when lifting heavy machinery, says Enerpac. The Pow’R-LOCK system is available in two versions with strokes of 14 or 25 inches.
