Atlas Copco Smart pokers are designed to eliminate air voids in concrete.
The pokers have a radius of action that is 12 times the diameter of the poker heads rather than the standard 10, so they work faster to remove air, the company says. And, because they are electric, they are a convenient option on construction jobsites powered by electricity or generators. The pokers are available with 1-7/8-inch and 2-3/16-inch poker heads. Their radii of action allow contractors to work in areas as large as 22 inches in diameter, which minimizes the number of dips. The pokers also operate with high centrifugal force and amplitude to provide as many as 12,000 vibrations per minute.
