Power Supply rentals

Considerations when renting or leasing a power supply
One of the first things to consider is how you will be using the power supply. How much power are you actually going to need? Make sure you check the number of watts available from the power supply to be sure it is able to accommodate your needs. Consider how many outputs it has. Some for example might have a triple output. Do they have variable outputs? Do they offer current limiting, independent tracking, dual tracking, and other features that you might need?

Some of the supplies will also offer overload indicators. This can be very helpful to ensure you do not damage any equipment. You might also want to consider the form factor of the power supplies you are choosing. Are they benchtop items that sit flat on the surface or are they equipped with a tilt-bail handle? The latter tends to take up less space than other types of power supplies and it might be something to consider.

It is also a good idea to consider not just the features, but also the controls of the system. Is the interface something that is relatively easy to understand? Typically, these are devices that require a certain level of knowledge to use properly. Make sure you understand how to use the power supplies before you rent or lease them and start using them, or have somebody on your site that can do it for you. The last thing you want to do is damage any of your equipment.
