Features of decanter centrifuges

While the concept behind different models of decanter centrifuges are the same, there are several different types and basic designs available. These include conveyors, horizontal orientation, and vertical orientation centrifuges. They have their rotating assemblies located in different areas. The vertical machines also tend to be quite a bit quieter than the horizontal and conveyor centrifuges. The various options available also may have different rotational speeds. The higher the speed the faster the centrifuge can work. However, this also means that there could be more noise to go along with it, along with a greater expense in some cases.

How decanter centrifuges work

decanter centrifuge rentalsThe decanter centrifuge makes use of gravitational forces in order to work, and the rotation is able to provide between 1,000 and 4,000 times the normal gravitational force. This reduces the amount of time you have to wait for separation drastically. Most of the centrifuges work in a similar fashion. The use places the slurry into the centrifuge via the connecting pipe, and then an internal compartment brings the slurry through a nozzle and into the bowl. This bowl then rotates at a very high RPM, and this separates the solid matter from the liquid in a few seconds. The conveyor is then able to discharge both the solid material and the liquid into separate areas.

About decanter centrifuges

A decanter centrifuge is a type of machine that is capable of separating materials that are different densities. It can easily and quickly remove the liquid from slurry, so you can separate the solid components. It is highly useful in a number of different fields and industries. This includes oil processing, wastewater treatment, and the chemical industry.
