Requiring liability insurance

You can require a renter add you as an additional insured under their general business liability insurance.  If you require liability insurance, KWIPPED staff will collect the certificate of insurance from the renter and upload it to the Rental Workspace.

Liability insurance should not be confused with property insurance.  Liability insurance typically protects a business and its employees from claims involving bodily injury or property damage.  Liability insurance would not cover damage to the rental equipment.

KWIPPED does not currently offer product damage waivers that would protect the equipment against damage during the rental.  If the equipment was damaged, the renter would be responsible for any cost to repair or replace the equipment.  Suppliers would be responsible for any regular maintenance.
