PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Megger (formerly Multi-Amp) CB832
Multi-Amp Circuit Breaker and Overload Relay Tester
Designed to test circuit breakers and overload relays by means of primary
injection current. Provides variable high current output for testing thermal,
magnetic, or solid-state motor overload relays; molded case circuit breakers;
and ground-fault trip devices. Applications include calibration of magnetic
overload relays, such as those used in protecting air conditioning systems.

Provides up to 1000A to simulate overload conditions. Capable of testing the
time-delay characteristic of magnetic overload relays rated up to 500A.

SPECIFICATIONS
Output: Continuously adjustable in 3 ranges to meet a variety of test
circuit impedances: 0 to 500A @ 3.5V max; 0 to 125A @ 14V max; 0 to 25A @ 70V
max.
Output Capacity: The output circuit is designed to provide short-duration
overloads.

Capable of testing the time-delay charcteristics of magnetic overload relays
rated to 500A using a test current of 2 times their rating (1000A).

Capable of testing the time-delay characteristics of thermal devices rated up
to 225A using the recommended test current of 3 times their rating (675A).

Capable of instantaneous trip test of 1800A through a typical 225A molded-case
breaker.
