DESCRIPTION
The Ultra-Turrax® Tube Drive from IKA® is a completely closed rotor-stator style homogenization system.  The sample and grinding / homogenization mechanism exist entirely inside a hermetically sealed tube, thereby preventing splashing or aerosolization of the sample, preventing cross-contamination and eliminating the need for post-homogenization cleanup.

Ultra-Turrax Tube Drives have two different sizes of tubes that can accommodate samples from 2 - 15 ml or 15 - 50 ml.

There are two types of Ultra-Turrax® Tube Drive homogenizers.  The standard model has a digital timer and analog speed setting knob.  The "control" model adds the following extra features:
  • Fully digital controls and digital display
  • USB interface for control and documentation
  • Ability to save programmable settings
  • Collecting tray for protection against leaking liquids
  • "Turbo" (pulse) button for brief, high-intensity sample disruption
