Compact Backhoe rentals

Considerations when renting a compact backhoe

Compact backhoes vary somewhat in size, although your main decisions when renting a backhoe will be which attachments you need.  Compact backhoes are useful for a wide variety of projects, so be sure to consider all of your future needs.

Features of compact backhoes

Compact backhoes will either come attached to a small tractor or with the ability to be hooked to an existing tractor.  Your KWIPPED network supplier will help you decide which is the right version for your project.  The side opposite the backhoe will have a small loader or a fill blade.  Many models have quick couplers to allow the operator to change the backhoe attachment; breakers, grapples, and augers are common options.

How compact backhoes work

Backhoes are used to dig and fill holes and trenches.  The backhoe acts like a long, mechanical arm that uses the bucket on the end to scoop and move material.  The loader on the front can be used to fill the holes back in as needed.  Unlike backhoe loaders where the operator sits in a cab or protected cage, most compact backhoes have only a bar to protect the operator from accidents.  Compact backhoes will have stabilizer legs to keep the machine from rocking or tipping as the machine is operated.

About compact backhoes

Compact backhoes are heavy equipment vehicles commonly used for excavation in confined worksites.  They consist of a backhoe on either the front or the back of a tractor, and many models also have a small loader on the opposite side. Their compact size makes them ideal for smaller construction sites and projects.
